Well Jimmy if finally happened! We made it big time! The La Redneck Yacht Club made it into the Boating World Magazine! We got an issue Friday and Bobby was reading it today and There it is! The article from your interview several months ago!
JIMMY YOU DA MAN! NOW THE LA REDNECK YACHT CLUB HAS GONE WORLD WIDE AND IN ONE OF THE BIGGEST BOATING MAGAZINES EVER! WEBSITE ADDRESS AND ALL!
I have not been able to convert the e-mail from Sheree yet so that I can post it on the site. However, thanks to Kristal Seeden from Boating World in Irvine, CA, I can now post a link to it. The article is on page 15. http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/32e8b9ac#/32e8b9ac/1.
This all started when I got an e-mail back February of this year;
Hi Jimmy,
I’m a writer for Boating World Magazine and I stumbled upon your website. My staff and I agree that you and your club are hilarious. You all look like a really fun bunch. I’d like to write about you guys in the magazine. Would you be up for answering some questions and sending some high resolution photos? I had printed a couple pictures I liked from your site a couple of weeks ago and now I can’t find them, but maybe I can describe them to you if you are interested in talking to me. Let me know what you think.
I love the article but there is one point that I must clear up. It sounds like we are being given credit for some events that other people work very hard to put on and that I don't like. While we are more than happy to put up those events on the site so that everybody knows about them, it needs to be very clear that there are folks out there that have devoted their lives to helping St. Jude. Even though they don't want it, and it is not the reason that they do what they do, any recognition should go them and not the La. Redneck Yacht Club.
